I think in Egypt, it's very hard to pick a "favorite" temple or spot. From Dendera's Zodiac being a one of a kind temple, Greek Roman flavor, to Kom-Ombo, the Crocodile Temple right near the River Nile and not so inland as the others are. When Kom-Ombo is lit up at night, it's just a wonderfully colorful place to be. I would have to put it high on my favorites list if forced to have a favorite. But again, how can we? All the temples are my favorites.
I believe Kom-Ombo is on an island, and we walk from the ship or boat a few paces right into the Temple. What a luxury that is. A few steps to the ancient civilization and in such a short period of time, transported back thousands of years in our minds.
